Nicolas de Gottrau

Nicolas de Gottrau provides legal advice and support to banks, corporate and private clients primarily in the fields of banking law, secured transactions, company law, contracts, insolvency, as well as international private law. He has gained considerable expertise representing clients in litigation and insolvency matters before courts (and also arbitral tribunals), including debt collection proceedings, bankruptcies and attachments. Nicolas de Gottrau obtained a Master of Laws degree at Duke University, is also admitted to the New York Bar, is the author of a dissertation on documentary credits (Prof. Walter Hug's Prize) and wrote numerous papers in the field of banking law and insolvency law. He has been a seminar lecturer at the University of Geneva for documentary credits and secured transactions.
